Doing it by herself
As Beth boarded the plane she knew her life would never be the same. She was led to the front of the plane, to first class. She looked around to see if she could see anyone famous, as only famous people sat in first class. The flight attendant pointed to a lovely window seat. Beth felt very uncomfortable as she was neither famous nor rich and didn't think she belonged in first class.
Looking longingly out the window, she started thinking about all the events that had led to this moment. She was filled with mixed emotions - one part of her felt excited, she was stepping into the unknown, a new job, a new country, a new life. The other part of her felt nervous. For the first time in her life she was not in control of the situation. She was now leaving her family and her friends, the people who knew her best. ....
